(Our last family trip, November 2008)
I did it! I booked a quick trip to Walt Disney World this April. It will have been a year and a half since I last went "home", and I just can't deal with the PDVSD (Post Disney Vacation Stress Disorder) symptoms any longer. I tried to stave off said symptoms with the first trip to Disneyland in California, but even that was over a year ago now, so the time has come.
My boys have been overly patient with me as I have been growing my Disney travel business, often getting stuck watching a movie or tv while mommy finished up a booking, or put the finishing touches on customized touring plans, all for other people's Disney vacations. I got into this business to keep my own Disney obsession legitimate, and to make sure our family got to experience our own Disney magic too. They have been chomping at the bit for a trip, and because when we vacation, we like to do it as a "grand" family, Grandma will be coming too!
If you've never been to Walt Disney World, or if it's been a while since you've seen the Mouse, I welcome you to join us on our vacation, virtually that is! I'll try to take pictures and post on Facebook daily, and write reviews of rides, attractions, shows, and of course, restaurants! Anyone who knows our family knows that food is a pleasure we like to indulge in, particularly at Disney!
While the boys don't know we are going yet (shh, it's a surprise!), I plan to put them to work as well! Connor is 10, Caeden is 5 1/2, and I will be posting reviews from their point of view. (My apologies to those with little girls, we won't be doing much in the way of princesses. My boys are true boys, through and through! But I do plan to kidnap my niece in a few years to do a totally princess trip, so stay tuned for your turn!) Want to know what it's like to tour with grandkids, especially if you aren't a thrill seeker? Grandma can get in on the reviews for you too! (Shh, she doesn't know that yet. She hates it when I volunteer her for stuff!)
We will be staying at our favourite hotel, Caribbean Beach Resort, but plan to visit and eat at the new Art of Animation Resort. Although this will be a short trip, only 5 days, we do plan to visit each of the four Disney theme parks, and Downtown Disney as well. New Fantasyland is a definite must-do! Dining will be mostly Quick Service, although we may do a couple of Table Service meals.
So, it's your turn to add your own touches to our upcoming trip to Walt Disney World. What would you like to see? What rides, attractions and shows would you like to know more about? What restaurants would you like reviewed? We will try to fit as many of your suggestions and requests into our trip as possible!

I'm excited to folow you!
